This blackjack dates from the early to mid 1900's and is a small, easily-concealed weapon consisting of a leather-wrapped lead weight attached to the end of a leather-wrapped coil spring. The strap on the end opposite the weight wraps around the wrist.
It works by storing kinetic energy in the dense core when swung, this stored energy then ... Click for details

Horst Wessel Collar Tab -WWII German Waffen SS Insignia
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$300
Excellent condition Horst Wessel collar tab. Machine embroidered with buckram backing. This Panzer Grenadier Division was named after an SA street fighter killed by communists and became a hero martyr for the anti-Communist movement. It was intended that the personnel for this division would be largely SA members but as it turned out it was mostly Hungarian volunteers.

Fascinating Pre-War German DLV / NSFK Photo Album
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$398
Just a wonderful and historically important item. As everyone reading this would know, the German military was forbidden an air force by the Versailles Treaty. To get around this and keep flight as a point of interest with young Germans the government established glider clubs through the DLV and later the NSFK. Gliders became a national obsession and this obsession assured that aircraft theory and design would not wither and die and that Germany would have a well established pool of potential pi... Tank Photograph Pzk III - WWII German
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$28
No it's not a great quality photo but tank photos are hard to come by. Unfortunately there was something obstructing the lense. I believe this is a Pzkpfw III with a crewman in the hatch. Of note are the horses also visible. With their famous tanks and technology many do not realize that the German army was quite dependent on horses right to the end. Nice tank photo taken out of a photo album somewhere along the way.

American Civil War Puppy Paw US Belt Buckle
Militaria: Civil War
Brandywine Militaria
$229
This is a great looking example. Has a great "been there" look but not too beat up at all. The front plate has a few stress lines and a ding at about 2 o'clock (See last photo). A nice, dark, even patina throughout. Reverse shows the hook and the puppy paws. There is a maker mark visible that looks like W H SMITH. Very cool belt buckle.

German War or Battle Flag - 100x170 Reichskriegsflag
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
Sold, Thank You
National War Flag or German Battle Flag. Nice, small size at 100x170cm. Very displayable but a good selection of small holes throughout, the worst of which are in the attached images. Even though it does have a good many holes it is very displayable, has no staining and is priced accordingly. There is one small red stamp with a swaz and and "M" but I do not think this was originally issued as a naval flag. If you want one with a "been there" look at a decent price here it is.

Polish Foreign Laborer P Patch - WWII German Insignia
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$49
P patch for Polish laborer in Germany. Cheap construction consistent with late war production of non-military insignia. Besides the use of slave labor Germany also imported voluntary laborers in increasing amounts due to obvious manpower shortages. The line is hazy as the German placed governments in occupied zones such as Poland didn't leave much for the locals. If a man wanted to eat he was likely to have to go to the Reich as a "volunteer" laborer. To identify themselves such laborers had to ... Click for details

German Eastern Front Medal w Issue Envelope - WWII
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$97
This is a great example of an interesting medal. This one still has most of the silver frosting that is long gone due to poor application process to a lame metal. Ring is hallmarked 110. The medal itself, despite poor manufacture, is a neat medal with grenade, helmet, bayonet etc. Was designed by a panzer general to commemorate the sacrifices of the soldiers during the first winter on the Russian Front. During the Russian counteroffensive the Germans suffered heavily and probably lasted the wint... Click for details
