Die Macht Geht Vom Volke Aus - WWII German Enamel Pin
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$72
Very interesting WWII era German enamel pin. Motto translates to something like "The power is with the people". I haven't been able to find a similar pin anywhere but this sounds like a workers' slogan so maybe something from DAF? It is interesting that it is numbered on the enamel section. Possibly a pin commissioned by a Factory #48 for their emplyees which would explain scarcity. The pin is attached at an angle and covers the first part of "GES GESCH" and the latter part of the maker name (Se... Click for details

Italian Order of the Crown - WWII Era Gold Neck Order
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$499
Very nice Italian Order of the Crown. This is the neck order in gold and is a very attractive medal overall. There is one spot of very minor chipping to the enamel on the front right arm. This is not very noticeable and detracts very little. Terrific overall enamel work with inset stones. This order was instituted at the end of the 19th century. This example is consistent with WWII era. Lovely medal.

DAF Plaque - Hitler Honoring Workers -WWII German Labor
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$229
This is a plaque I have not seen before so I imagine it is relatively scarce. Central is the DAF cogwheel emblem above which are workers; Industriasl worker, doctor and delivery man maybe. Below is the slogan "Ehret die Arbeit und achtet den Arbeiter ADOLF HITLER" which basically translates to "Adolf Hitler honors the work and respects the employees". How nice. The actual plate measures 15cmx10cm. Marked on lower left FERD (?) WAGNER PFURZHEIM and again below the figures MULLER-ERFURT. I imagine... Click for details

German Medical Officer Shoulder Boards Pair
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$159
Beautiful set of medical officer shoulder boards. Condition can't be beat. The cornflower blue velvet backing is clean and fresh and free of nips. The front shows just the tiniest age wear to the top edge of the aluminum weave. This is really nothing but adds a little character. The gilt cyphers are 98% or so and sunken in very well. The posts are under the velvet so these have been on forever. These are wide and very well made so probably late WWI through early Reichswehr. Just a beautiful pair... Click for details

Close Combat Clasp in Silver Ausf. A.G. M.uK. - WWII
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$635
Superb silver close combat clasp. Obviously the silver example of this award is way scarcer then the bronze which is a nice award in its own right. This is a great example and I would estimate silver wash at 85-90 percent. On the flat reverse areas there is the gentle bubbling from beneath that we love to see on honest originals. Just a great item and in much better condition then similarly priced examples I was able to find online.

Antique Islamic Powder Horn / Flask - 18th Century
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$399
Fascinating Islamic style powder horn. I would date this at 18th century but may go into beginning of 19th century. The horn itself is a ram horn with its beautiful and distinctive ridges. This is the type of horn used for Judaic Shofar so certainly is right for the area. Very pleasing metal work throughout with openwork around the whole piece. Condition is excellent with everything present and in good shape and no cracking to the horn. Measures right at one foot from tip to tip. Really a fascin... Click for details

1107 ARASU Detachment 150 Military Intelligence Plauqe
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$319
Here is a great item for the guy who understands the importance of this unit. We recently bought a collection and this belonged to the owner. He was sent to Europe right after the war and the unit was interrogating Nazis and gauging political climate and ramifications in post war Europe. This collection was really full of unique and interesting items rarely encountered, but this plaque was actually from his unit in the 1107th ARASU. I know two things about this unit. First, the 150 attachment wa... Click for details

Antique Indo Persian Mughal Shield Circa 1800
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$1395
Exceptional quality Indo Persian shield dating to late 18th or early 19th century. Gold and silver floral design throughout obverse. At one point gold and silver relief was entirely offset by fine black enamel work. Over the centuries the black enamel has largely worn from the center, raised section but remains thick on the lower, outer portions. This does afford the piece an honest and tasteful aged appearance. The center shows four raised bosses backed on the reverse solid hexagonal bolts pier... Click for details

Hat Cockade / Badge for Ukrainian Volunteers - WWII
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$98
Interesting hat cockade for Ukranian volunteers serving with German forces during WWII. Due to Soviet treatment of Ukrainian populace (As well as other locals) many Ukraninians first considered the Germans to be liberators and quickly volunteered. To give them a sense of identity this badge was authorized for wear by those volunteers. A couple of light dings to the blue paint on front, otherwise in perfect condition. Both prongs are there on the back; They are just folded together. A nice item a... Click for details
