This is a 'sweetheart' of a vintage bracelet in more ways than one. It's an original WW II bracelet...a gift sent by a soldier to his 'sweetheart' who could have been his wife, girlfriend, mom, sister or a friend. This bracelet is made of a silver-tone chromium-like metal. The cuff band has a heart in the center and wings on the heart. This vintage military postcard shows a gunner in a U. S. Navy Fast Fighter. The caption reads: Bird’s-Eye-View of the "Man With the Gun." This is a wartime postcard sent from a soldier while on watch to his mother in Moody, Texas. The postmark is from Athens, Georgia, and is dated February 7 (I believe), 1944. The postage area has been postmarked and the word "Free" is written where the stamp should go.
