1st Hew Hampshire G.A.R. Kepi - Civil War Veteran Hat
Militaria: Civil War
Brandywine Militaria
$300
Very cool G.A.R. kepi for the first New Hampshire regiment which fought at First Bull Run and other notable engagements. Very neat bullion patches and GAR buttons. Very solid structural condition. Damage consists of 2 nips to the fabric and a blister to the bottom of the visor all shown in the photos. Nips are hard to notice because of the dark color of the hat overall. Label looks to read "THE M. C. LILLEY & CO COLUMBUS OHIO MANUFACTURERS OF MILITARY AND SOCIETY GOODS". I am not sure what the l... Click for details

Gettysburg KIA Gold Mourning Watch Fob Civil War
Militaria: Civil War
Brandywine Militaria
$255
Wonderful piece of jewelry that is collectible in many levels. It looks to be a watch fob the bottom of which is a Civil War style canteen. One side reads "U.S." and the other "Gettysburg". As the fabric is black I would assume it is mourning jewelry; If it were a proud veteran it would more likely have a splashy color scheme like red, white and blue. A likely scenario is a father grieving for his fallen son. Gettysburg related material is extremely hard to find in today's market and this piece r... Click for details

Civil War Naval Officers Sword. Union Navy
Militaria: Civil War
Brandywine Militaria
$425
Original USN officer's sword for the budget shopper. The handle is actually a real looker with near perfect fish skin and wire wrap. Fair amount of gilt left to the brass and of course the very cool USN showing on the guard. One of my favorite aspects of the naval officer swords is the sea serpents worked in the quillon and the top of the knuckle guard. The blade is where the party ends. The edge took a rough sharpening somewhere along the way and while there are watermarks here and there. Keep ... Click for details

Civil War Horse Artillery Saber by Ames 1863 American
Militaria: Civil War
Brandywine Militaria
$1175
Extremely nice Ames horse artillery saber. ADK inspector marked and dated 1863. Blade is excellent throughout except for where a previous owner harshly and unnecessarily cleaned it near the handle (See photos). This is not too disfiguring and the blade is gorgeous the rest of the way. The handle is a real beauty with all original wire and wrap. There are a couple of white scuffs on the knuckle guard and pommel (See photo) that would probably rub right off by as a rule I fix or clean nothing. ADK... Click for details

Original Print: US Civil War Ironclad ROANOKE 1863
Militaria: Civil War
Four Lot Antiques
$35
For sale is an unusual 1863 colored print of the US Navy Ironclad "ROANOKE". The framed print is 11 inches long by 8 inches tall. It is titled "U.S. IRON CLAD STEAM-SHIP "ROANOKE" / The first Turreted Frigate in the U.S. 1863". It was drawn by G. Hayward for D.T. Valentine's Manual 1863, as shown. According to my internet research, which tuned up another copy of this print, the Roanoke was pretty much a failure as a fighting vessel and never saw action. The frame is of dark stained wood, an...
