Rev War Horseman Saber Converted To Confederate Bowie
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$1855
This is a very special piece with a rich history. I have had this in my personal collection for many years now. It started out as an American Revolution horseman saber. A nearly identical sword is pictured on page 164 of George C Neumann's important book "Swords & Blad3es of the American Revolution" (third edition, October 1991). During the Civil War a Confederate soldier had it either cut down or remounted to a bowie knife. Its current blade length is just under 17 inches. It is in uncleaned co... Click for details

Uncle Sam on the Merrimac, milk glass candy container
Militaria: Civil War
Sherrys Antiques* Collectibles* Frivolous Necessities
safn-107 $85.00
Made by Flaccus, this milk glass candy container was made in 1898 civil war era. Uncle Sam sits atop the Merrimac. Measures almost 5" tall and is 6 3/4" long. Very nice condition. A couple of micro chips on the edge and his hat that maybe just a roughness on the mold edge. a small hairline crack that I just noticed about 1" long on the lid (very hard to detect). You will be very impressed with the condition of this old piece of history! Please ask if you would like to see more photos.
