I hate to tell people how ignorant I am, because after toting this heavy piece all over the country and calling it "a bowl," my children finally told me that it was a planter. Sew cute! Probably from the '50's, this sewing box is 8" in diameter and 4 1/2" high. It has two separate compartments; the lower box has posts for 16 spools, the upper, smaller box is plain inside. The top lid has a pin cushion in the middle. It is so old, some of the small, decorative thread on the cushion has rotted but the cushion appears to be intact. I left the old needles stuck in it. Featured for your enjoyment is a very rare old child’s toy. This is an old electric cook stove with oven. Now I have never seen anything like this before and have found no information whatsoever on it. I have received information that this is called "Little Lady Ranges" from a firm in Lokomo Indiana.
