This is a lovely little round dish from Japan. It has hand painted flowers with raised gold accents. It measures 6 inches in diameter and 1 3/4 inches deep. I estimate the age to be 1940s to the early 50s. On the back it reads in red, Made In Occupied Japan. There are no chips, cracks or scratches, although there is some wear on the gold around the top. This is a very beautiful Occupied Japan dish. The flowers have raised gold borders and are hand painted. It is in excellent condition with no chips, scratches or cracks. On the back it is written in red Made In Occupied Japan. The dish measures 7x7 1/4 inches in width and aprox 2 1/4 inches deep.I estimate the age to be in the 1940s to early 1950s. This is a wonderful vintage circa 1945 to 1952 occupied Japan figurine of an Asian man with a traditional violin or fiddle, probably a erhu of the "hugin" family of instruments. These two lovely sets of demitasse cups and saucers are made by the Regal China company in Occupied Japan. They are very nearly the same style, one set red and white and one set blue and white.
