Being an ex-telephone company employee, I especially enjoyed the full page color advertisement for Bell Telephone Systems showing three of the latest telephones of the day - all dial phones, of course. This book is consolidation of the ROMANICA dated from Dec 1935 to Oct 1936. The picture on the Oct 1936 front page is missing. Book is 15" tall & 11" across. Blue cloth boards with the word "ROMANICA" across the front in gilt. Worn at the spine and corners.
This would make a great gift for someone born at that time or perhaps represent a milestone event in a person's life.
In this issue there are many great advertisements. A Chrysler Corporation ad has a drawing of a young man holding a set of car keys. The top of the ad reads, "First solo in the family car." It goes on to say:

In this issue there are advertisements for Rawlings baseball gloves, Chevrolet Soap Box Derby, the new improved Chrysler (No dip, no squat, no sway), and Johnson fishing reels.
This is a very nice issue of the Saturday Evening Post dated October 1978. The cover features features former Miss America, Phyllis George. Ms. George went on to have a career as a sportscaster and a leading role in the Special Olympics.
There is a very interesting article titled "Counterfeiting." It discusses the problem of U. S. currency counterfeiting and the steps taken in the late 1970"s to stop it.... Click for details
This is a very nice copy of The Saturday Evening Post dated November 1978. The cover features John B. Connally with the caption "John B. Connally: Strong for 1980." The article about Connally has some very nice pictures of him on his Texas ranch.
