Porcelain propaganda plate made by Rhenania Duisdorf. Gold leaf transfer reads "Andenken aus Deutschland 1938 Heil Hitler" or "Souvenirs from Germany 1938 Heil Hitler". There is some gentle wear to the gold leaf but it remains quite strong. The three designs around the border have a subtle geometric fish scale pattern indicating a good degree of quality in workmanship. Backmarked Rhenania Duisdorf. Just under 20cm diameter. Very scarce 1930's German communist pin. This was given out at the 1931 Soldaritatstag (Translation is obvious) which I assume was a big communist kumbaya fest. Very rare to find pre-war German communist items as these would likely be a death sentence during the Nazi regime. The IAH was Internationale Arbeiter-Hilfe and was, in fact, abolished in 1933. This was in a small grouping recently found and I don't actually recall seeing any others. Neat.

Souvenir of Abraham Lincoln's Home, Springfield Illinois. Made of heavy glazed pottery with gold edge trim. This is a tumbler I believe, or a vase. Measures 4 7/8" tall. It's a souvenir so could be used as either.It does have the 14 litre mark at the top imprinted into the pottery under glaze. I have no idea the age of this piece. It looks old but is in excellent condition. On the bottom there is another L and a name which I cannot make out with the glaze fill.

Wow. Hard to find 1864 Lincoln campaign button. I think this was used as a stickpin front as there is a tiny gold spot central 12 o'clock on the back, maybe from a broken post. Ferrotype photo of Abe with his name above. Some surface damage as shown in images; Forgivable on a rare item. Patent info to left of image and date to the right. Needless to say, Lincoln was one of our most dynamic presidents and the fate of the nation hung in the balance of his reelection campaign of 1864.
