This little bowl measures approximately 5 7/8" across. I am not sure if the bowl was manufactured in Japan and hand decorated in Hong Kong, but the bottom says Japanese Porcelainwares, hand decorated in Hong Kong. There are no chips, cracks or breaks. This is an awesome piece. I wish I had more knowledge about it. It has a green stamp on the bottom,and a large raised 5 point star of porcelain which is part of the mold. Hand painted made in Japan. Then block letters which appear to say Cesfai. ??? Mt Fuji in background, Lots of gold with relief texture, and the tiniest beading trim. Bamboo trees and leaves, flowers. Large size, measures 5" tall. Pristine condition. All gold is crisp and bright. This has got to be a special piece!!!

This is a late victorian lidded black transfer or transferware sauce dish or small soup tureen.
