This listing has a very nice McCoy fruit on leaf planter -- this one is the orange!
Planter is in great condition. There are 3 small dings on leaf edge (1/16", 1/8", 1/4") -- that's it and all are small enough to be color "touched up" if you choose to do so. I never color touch-up items, I prefer to enjoy them as is but that is my preference.
Planter retains approximately 45% of the original orange cold paint which is seldom found on these planters. Cold paint "slips" easily when... Click for details
It's a pretty sunny yellow color and is marked USA and McCoy on bottom edge.
Planter was early from the mold and has beautiful crisp, clean detail -- you can see the bark on the log, the in-mold chain around it, and some leaves at base and at rim.
Planter has been used as intended and has some interior crazing that has... Click for details
VERY NICE MCCOY FLOWERPOT! MADE IN 1949, THIS IS THE DIAMONDS WITH LEAVES PATTERN (DIAMONDS IN CENTER, LEAVES AROUND RIM AND DRIP SAUCER). MEASURES 4 1/2" TALL, 4 15/16" DIAMETER. MARKED ON BOTTOM: MCCOY, USA. USUALLY FOUND IN AN AQUA/TURQUOISE COLOR, THIS ONE IS IN A PRETTY, SUNNY YELLOW! IN GREAT CONDITION - HAS NO CHIPS OR CRACKS. HAS ACTUALLY BEEN USED AS A FLOWERPOT AND HAS INTERIOR CRAZING WITH SOME STAINING. A VERY NICE ITEM IN A DIFFICULT TO FIND COLOR.
It's black in color with shiny over-glaze and has 90% of the original cold paint on its flowers.
Planter is marked: McCoy, USA and it still has the original ink price of $1.29 stamped on bottom!
It has always been pampered -- no chips, no cracks, no crazing. It has a couple pooled glaze spots where glaze meets the bottom dry (setting) ring -- typical production McFlaw and of absolutely no consequence!
THE MCCOY FRUIT PLANTERS ARE SO DIFFICULT TO FIND! THIS ONE IS THE RED APPLE ON GREEN LEAVES, MARKED MCCOY, USA (U HAS GLAZE POP-OFF). VERY PRETTY COLORS BUT, UNFORTUNATELY, LIKE MOST OF THE FRUIT PLANTERS, IT HAS SUSTAINED SOME MINOR DAMAGE. THERE IS A TINY 1/16" DING ON INNER RIM OF APPLE. THE LEAF TIPS HAVE GLAZE DINGS -- THERE ARE 3 THAT ARE 1/4" AND 3 THAT ARE 1/8". SOUNDS AWFUL DOESN'T IT? IT'S NOT. THESE ARE NOT DEEP DINGS OR BROKEN TIPS, THEY HAVE BEEN BUMPED AND ESSENTIALLY POPPED OFF... Click for details
ANOTHER NEAT MCCOY FRUIT PLANTER! THIS ONE IS THE PEAR ON LEAF. MARKED: MCCOY, USA, INSIDE BOTTOM HAS AN IMPRESSED INITIAL "J". BEAUTIFUL COLORS! ONLY EVIDENCE OF "USE" IS A 1/8" DING ON ONE LEAF AND A SUPER TIGHT HAIRLINE -- ABOUT 1/4" ON OUTSIDE, APPROXIMATELY 1" ON INSIDE WHERE IT BLENDS IN WITH CRAZING. DON'T BE DETERRED BY MY DESCRIPTION -- THE LEAF DING COULD BE COLOR "TOUCHED UP" AND HAIRLINE IS TIGHT AS A PENCIL MARK! NICE ITEM, DIFFICULT TO FIND.
For whatever reason, McCoy's fruit on leaf planters are more difficult to find than the fruit wall pockets! This listing is the orange on leaf and like most of the oranges, it has lost the original orange color cold paint -- so it's a pretty yellow color!
Unfortunately, the fruit on leaf planters are seldom found without some degree of "use" evidence. This one has no serious issues but it is not perfect. The leaf has 3 little places that have been bumped and the green glaze has come off.... Click for details
Very pretty colors on this McCoy flowerpot from the Horticulture line!
Flowerpot is a pretty warm honey/amber color with shiny glaze. It measures 4 1/4" tall, 4 3/8" diameter and bottom is marked: 0372, McCoy, Lancaster Colony (mark), USA.
This listing is for 2 McCoy flowerpots with attached drip saucers! They are in the basket weave pattern and are in a pretty green color with shiny over-glaze.
Flowerpots measure 4 1/8" tall, 4 5/16" diameter, and both are marked McCoy, USA.
One flowerpot is in excellent condition -- no chips, no cracks, no crazing -- does have light mineral deposits in drip saucer.
The other flowerpot has sustained a 3/8" x 3/16" chip on rim edge of drip saucer -- could easily be color... Click for details
This listing has a black pedestal planter from McCoy's Islander Line!
Planter measures 4" tall, 4 1/2" diameter, and bottom is marked 599, McCoy, Lancaster Colony (mark), USA.
It has no evidence of "use" -- no chips, no cracks, no crazing! It has a small production McFlaw -- a non-glaze spot on rim edge. It is production and is of no consequence to this lovely planter. Because of the shiny over-glaze, photo shows some light reflection.
This listing has McCoy's planter titled "What About Me?"
Planter is blue with shiny over-glaze and is marked McCoy, USA. This is a rather large planter -- 8" long (at longest), 6 3/8" tall (at tallest), and 3 5/8" wide.
The planter is shaped like a baby buggy with a little dog with a bone in his mouth sitting forlornly at one end of the baby buggy. The base of the planter has the in-mold question "What About Me?". This is one of McCoy's most detailed planters.
Produced in 1953, this McCoy hanging strawberry jar or hen and chicks jar is in excellent condition and it’s a beautiful maroon color with shiny over-glaze!
In addition to the 3 1/4" top opening, there are 8 side openings (each 1” x 3/4”) – plenty of room to hold flowers or plants. Planter has 3 in-mold holes along the top so it can be hung from a chain or macramé hanger but it is also free standing!
Jar measures 7" tall. Bottom is marked McCoy, USA.
