This pair of Pigmy Salt & Pepper Shakers are made in Japan, probably in the 1950’s or so. They are very well decorated and of higher quality. One of the books show this Pigmy Mama with a different shaker, but we are pretty sure these are the correct ones. Nicely decorated and well marked. We would guess the Mama is the SALT, and the Baby Girl is the PEPPER shaker. Well done!!!

This is a really nice 3 1/8 inch high Yellow Tulip Flower Pot made by Stangl. The Flower Pot measures 3 5/8 inches in diameter at the top and is signed STANGL Trenton, N.J. “Fito”Adolpho Sandova Tena is the husband of Emilia Mora one of the pioneers of the famous Mata Ortiz pottery. Fito's trademark pots (a style which he invented), have deeply incised, round “corrugated” matt bodies with a shiny neck. This particular one is a black pot that gets its deep matte black hue from an oxygen reduction technique achieved during the pit-firing process.
