This little motto ware or mottoware dish or bowl was made by the Dartmouth Pottery of Devon, England and bears the following motto: Waste Not Want Not and the traditional cottage. It measures 3.75 inches in diameter by 1.5 inches high. This little Torquay motto dish was made in the 1940-1950s. It is in very good condition and very collectible. This is the cutest set. It is motto ware from Torquay, Devon, England although I don't know what factory as it is unmarked. The set dates to 1910-1920s. It is of red clay with blue & geometric slip and glazed over the motto. The cream jug measures 2 7/8 inches high and the motto is Du'ee Be Aisy. The sugar basin measures 3.75 inches in diameter by 2 inches high and the motto reads Du'ee Ave Zum Sugar. This is a wonderful Wedgwood, England blue jasperware commemorative Christmas plate measuring 8.25 inches in diameter. This 1971 Christmas plate features Picadilly Circus in London with the famous statue of Eros and has a holly leaf border and the usual impressed back marks in mint condition. This is a lovely antique hand painted porcelain vase signed by the artist Wilma. It stands 9.5 inches high and has skillfully executed geraniums or nasturtiums and leaves in lovely warm colors. It has gold painted ceramic chain links for handles and is in very good ++ condition with no chips and only one small, faint hairline crack under one of the handles. This is a fabulous antique handpainted 9.5 inch high 4 sided American art pottery vase. It is unmarked but after reading the book Woman Of Fire by Dorothy Kamm about Susan S. Frackleton I can identify this as done by a fan of her work during 1890-1910s and was made in the USA. The vase is 9.5 inches high and made of porcelain.
