This is a fantastic example of retro/vintage Scandinavian ceramics - dating from the 1960's by JIE Gantofta (Sweden) and designed by the legendary Anita Nylund and one of her earlier and very rare pieces. This beautiful set consists of a large low bowl and matching deer figurine. They are glazed in a shiny turquoise blue wih specks. The deer stands 9 3/4" high and the bowl measures 13" by 10 1/2" wide. The bowl bottom bears an impressed Claire Lerner, Calif., cl280, 1952. The bowl has one rough spot on the edge which looks like a glaze miss, otherwise there are no cracks, hairlines, chips or crazing. A lovely and graceful combo.

I did not scrub off the patina on this old teapot. It was bought with a bunch of other items back in the 50's and stored away. It has not been used between then and now. It is perfect except for the chip on bottom of spout and one inside on the part of the lid than fits down into the pot. (See photos) It is unmarked and I do not know the maker. Offered for your consideration is this fantastic find. This cute little miniature pitcher or jug measures 1 3/4" tall and 1 5/8" across from handle. It has a nice brown with hints of black glossy glaze. It is perfect no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. the bottom is marked Georgia Art and the price of 5 cents. I know nothing about this amazing piece of pottery. It is extremely heavy, and has interesting glaze effects. It does have a fleur de lis mark impressed into the bottom. (see photo). It has matte, glazed, metalic and even crackle sections of finishes. In the photo the inside of the vase shows a light color, but is actually a charcoal color like the bottom. Nice older Set in Near Perfect vintage condition. Brown glazed on the inside, cream colored bisque pottery on the outside. No crack, repairs and only a small chip on the rim that is not seen when the lid is on the pot. (Please see the close-up picture) Any other flaws were done during the making and are normal in vintage pottery.
