Julio Mora Sandoval is known for his delicate and detailed paintwork work This tall, beautifully symmetrical seed pot or “olla” has a precise, geometric design with cuadritos (small squares) arranged in a diamond checkerboard pattern painted red and black on white clay which is the most difficult clay to handle. Very elegant glossy black, deeply-incised graphite plato (plate) by Lupita Quezada done in textured or tejido, indentations in the damp clay to produce a “braided” cloth-like look, then highly polished (a technique invented by her uncle Reynaldo Quezada). Lupita is Juan Quezada's youngest sister and the wife of Hector Quintana (both spouses work in a similar style). The artist's signature is incised at the bottom of the plate. Alvaro follows the tradition of fine craftsmanship established by his father Juan Quezada. The local white clay he uses originates from a deposit his father discovered. This is a really nice vintage red clay, or redware, individual size teapot with cold painted white flower with red star center design. I believe it would be called a brown betty teapot, but it is unmarked. It has great signs of age, rubbed edges, but no cracks and no chips. It measures 4 inches tall and 6 inches spout to handle.

Beautiful Art Noveau vase of pastel greens and what appears to be orchids. Measures 13" tall with no chips or cracks. Made of thin pottery. This is such an awesome piece. This one has the early mark EPS Stoke on Trent and the number 2515. This vase will probably date from 1896 to around 1916. The Empire Porcelain Company was established in about 1896 at the Empire Works on Stoke Road. A wide range of pottery and porcelain was subsequently produced. We think this beauty of a vase was made by McCoy pottery but it could have been some other American company. Regardless, it is a wonderful piece with flower decorative motif and a beautiful off white color. Large in Size and heavy in weight. Approx 16 inches high and marked on the bottom.

This is a lovely little pfaltzgraf squatty pitcher in the Yorktowne pattern 414Y in blue and white with a stenciled floral design and band around the rim. It measures 3.5 inches tall, and 4.5 inches in diameter. It is the perfect size for gravy or sauces and the nice thickness of the pottery will keep it nice and warm. It is also a nice size for serving milk. It is in excellent condition. I think this is from the 1960s or 1970s but I am not sure.

This is a wonderful vintage cream or syrup pitcher that is a Niagara Fall Canada souvenir. It is made by Canuck Pottery Company, Saint John N.B. circa 1954 to 1964. It is red clay with black or extremely dark brown glaze and white mottled drip glaze around the top rim and handle top. It is in excellent condition. It has an ink mark with the original price marked on it. No chips, no cracks, and no crazing that I can see. It measures 2.25 inches high, and 2.25 inches in diameter.
