This nice large hand-decorated cookie jar by McCoy Pottery, circa 1978, is in excellent condition. It still has its red painted cherry on top, as well as the sprinkles. The red cherry, as you can see in the photo, has a little jagged edge, which may be wear or may be original to the piece. These cold painted features are often worn away by careless washing, so it's hard to find an example with the paint still intact! No cracks or crazing. McCoy produced several lid variations for this type basketweave bottom cookie jar – this jar has the more difficult to find pine cones lid! This cookie jar goes well with a rustic or primitive decorating theme. Jar is in very good condition – it has three teen glaze dings on interior rim and there is a super tight 1” hairline (like a pencil mark) – I would not rate any as detrimental. This is wonderful McCoy Cookie Jar in near mint condition. It was made in 1947. This was an Estate Sale find wrapped in 1952 newspaper. There was a very old birthday card still inside. Measurements are approximate, 7" tall jar, 8" tall to top of "V" handle with lid on, 5 1/2" wide, 5" deep. It has a lovely handpainted floral in dark pink and green. Other than typical pottery flaws, it appears to be in near perfect condition with slight crazing.

This pair of Pigmy Salt & Pepper Shakers are made in Japan, probably in the 1950’s or so. They are very well decorated and of higher quality. One of the books show this Pigmy Mama with a different shaker, but we are pretty sure these are the correct ones. Nicely decorated and well marked. We would guess the Mama is the SALT, and the Baby Girl is the PEPPER shaker. Well done!!!

Cute item from McCoy’s Holiday Line – a Santa combination cookie jar and bank! This is a McCoy Limited production and bottom is so marked. Cookie jar (bottom portion) is in wonderful condition. Neat cookie jar! This is McCoy's black train engine cookie jar that was produced 1962-64. Marked on bottom: McCoy, USA. Jar has always been pampered and is in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks and it still retains approximately 99% of the original cold paint accents. Outstanding jar and an excellent addition to a collection!

This listing has a very nice McCoy cookie jar – it’s the puppy on basketweave made in 1956! Jar is in very good condition with bottom interior crazing that has darkened (quite common and is caused by shortening/butter used in cookies). The lid has crazing and there is a ¼” x ¼” interior slice type chip at rim edge of jar – cannot be seen with lid on jar and because of the color, is not especially noticeable with the lid off the jar. Very nice addition to a collection!
