Lovely McCoy planter in the Lily Bud design! Planter is sky blue color with shiny glaze, measures 4” tall, top measurements are 5 ¾” x 4”, marked on bottom: McCoy, Made in U.S.A. It’s in wonderful condition with only “use” evidence being a faint stain line. It does have a few McCoy production flaws – a pin-pop on rim, a couple “dots” of missing color on one side, and a ¼” stress on rim edge – typical McFlaws. Very nice!

The horse planter is #18 on the list of the top 100 McCoy findables! Produced in the 1940’s, planter has the overlapping MN, USA mark on back (difficult to see due to glaze fill-in). Planter is white with semi-glass glaze, has been used as intended and has interior staining. The only “use” evidence is a 1/8” glaze ding on side rim and crazing. McCoy’s large owl hanging planters are so cute and they’ve become difficult to find! The color is a warm amber/honey with shiny glaze, it measures 7 ¾” tall, 8 ¼” long, 7 ½” wide and is marked McCoy, Lancaster Colony (mark), USA. The owl on one side has closed eyes while the owl on the other side has eyes wide open! Excellent condition – has a ¼” glaze pool pop-off by dry setting ring – that’s it!!

McCoy’s large shell shape planters are difficult to find – this one has been a part of my McCoy collection for many years! Planter is a pretty light aqua color with matte finish and is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. It has some interior crazing and a prior owner used it as intended and it has a faint stain line. I used it to hold an assortment of scented soaps. This is a lovely item!

Made in 1941 and in unusual colors – the rooster is gray with darker gray/purple undertones and a green overcast – difficult to explain but is very pretty. This is a pretty McCoy planter! Shaped like a shoe, it’s yellow with a pink applied rose. Measures 7 ½” long, 3 ¼” tall (at tallest), 2 ¼” wide and is marked McCoy. Planter is in wonderful condition – it has light crazing and it has 2 lines inside (at the heel) that appear to be scratches. They do not feel like hairlines and are only noticeable because they’ve darkened slightly from use –they are absolutely not detrimental in any way. Super item!

This is a very pretty McCoy flowerpot from the butterfly line of the 1940’s! Flowerpot is a matte pastel aqua color, measures 3 5/8” tall, 3 ¾” diameter. Marked with overlapping NM, and USA. In wonderful condition with only “use” evidence being a ¾” superfine and tight interior hairline – like a pencil mark or a craze! Very nice addition to a collection.

Cute little unmarked McCoy duck planter! Little duck measures 3 5/8” tall (at tallest) and he’s an unusual color. He’s a pretty green color but his front half has a darker underlying color (extends back to his wings) while the rest is green. He has a couple production rubs (non-color/glaze) on one wing and one on his chest – they are production and of no consequence! The only “use” evidence I could find is a 1/16” glaze ding on rim edge – that’s it! Neat planter.

This is a cutie – a McCoy smiley flowerpot! Color is a cheerful yellow, has black eyes and smile, and is marked on bottom: 0386, McCoy, Lancaster Colony (mark), USA. Measures 4 ¼” tall and is in wonderful condition even though it has “use” evidence of a super tight 1” hairline that is visible on interior. Flowerpot is sound, rings “true”, and is perfect for using as intended and will provide many, many years of enjoyment. Wouldn’t this be a lovely “get well” or “just because” gift?
