Blue Transfer Wedgwood Tile,HISTORIC, WASHINGTON ELM.1899,
Hard fired tile marked on the back: WEDGWOOD. ETRURIA. On the front is a beautiful blue and white transfer design
described on the back of the tile as Washington Elm,Cambridge,Mass.Under this tree Washington first took comand of the American Army in July 1775.
There is floral design on the corners of the tile.
Back of the tile is also stamped with :
" Copywirght J.Midas 1899 " and
" Sole Importers" from Boston.

This is a lovely candleholder made by Wedgwood, Etruria and Barlaston, England in the 1950s in the Embossed Queens Ware line of blue with an applied white grapes and grapevine border. The candleholder is 1.75 inches high by 3.75 inches in diameter. The candle holder is in very good condition with no chips, but there is an old, faint hairline in the candle cup. This is a lovely Wedgwood, England blue jasper or jasperware pin dish or plate with applied white high relief profile of Josiah Wedgwood. This 4.5 inch in diameter plate or compotier was given to new members of the Wedgwood Collector's Society in the 1970s. I recently acquired a whole collection of jasperware including this piece. This 3.5 inch tall urn shaped vase was made by the famous Wedgwood, Stoke on Trent, England in the 1970s and is 2.75 inches in diameter. It is of pink jasper or jasperware with white applied jasper classical figures in a design called Sacrifice Figures. We have 2 of these beautiful majolica plates. They were made by Wedgewood. They are in the shape of a cabbage leaf with a basketweave background showing through at the edges. They measure about 8" in diameter each. Both are marked "Wedgewood" on the bottom. One has the letter "O" only. The other appears to have two letters, "O" and I think "G". We have 2 of these beautiful majolica comports. They were made by Wedgwood of Etruria & Barlaston, England. Each is in the shape of a cabbage leaf with a basketweave background showing through at the edges. They measure just shy of 8" in diameter 4 1/8" high and are about 1/2" deep.
