Weller Pottery produced this wonderful Roma bowl or flat planter. Roma was made from 1914 until the late 1920s. This fantastic piece is in PERFECT CONDITION without chips, cracks, mold imperfections, or repairs. What an interesting piece of Weller Pottery! This Duck Figurine is signed "Weller" Incised by Hand. This mark was used in the late 1920's into the early 1930's. It measures 4.5" wide and is 2 5/8" tall. The color is matte Green. There is some age crazing which is considered quite normal for this type of pottery and age of 70+ years. This amazing flower frog was made by the Weller Pottery Company. It is called Muskota Ware and dates from 1915 - 1928. This particular piece is called "Leda and the Swan". According to Greek mythology, Leda was approached by the god Zeus while he was masquerading as a swan. Zeus made love to Leda in this form, and Helen of Troy was born out of the union. The Weller Pottery Company was established in Zanesville Ohio in 1882. The depression brought a steady decline is sales and by 1948 the Weller Pottery Company was out of business. This beautiful 3-sided console bowl was made in the 1930's. It is a muted orange in color with a pink flower and green leaves on one side. The bowl has 3 handles - one at each point of the triangle. Beautiful Weller vase with the wild rose style pattern in a matte finish. This vase measures 6.75 inches high and has 2 unique type protruding handles. It is impressed with the Weller script logo and the letter K which identifies the decorator as L. Knaus. Also under the glaze is a written X. Dating Weller is very difficult and I can only estimate this piece as prior to 1950. The vase is in excellent plus condition. Shipping weight is 3 pounds.
