Victorian Needlepoint Firescreen c1875-1900
Antiques: Furnishings: Furniture: American: Victorian
Monique's Glass Boutique
$875 USD (King Louis XVI & Queen Marie-Antoinette)
The image of this needlepoint is most likely the last King of France, King Louis XVI and his wife, Queen Marie Antoinette, France in better times, sitting quietly in their private sitting room. In Marie Antoinette's short lifetime, it has been documented that she was an avid needlework admirer and enjoyed making them as well. The colors of the needlepoint work are vivid and not frayed or paled by common elements. It has been protected by a pane of glass which fits nicely into the stand edging... Click for details

Framed Well Detailed Needlepoint Sampler W/ Verse
Sewing: Needlework
Al's Past Treasures
N818 $35.00 Free Shipping
A framed well made with plenty of detail in this needlepoint sampler that is dated 1990. It measures with the nice wooden frame 11 inches by 17 inches. The alphabet is hard to see in my photos as it was done in 3 colors from dark blue at the top to light blue at the bottom. See my photos. A lot of work went into making this sampler.
