Offered is a fine and rare set of early Chinese Export Silver teaspoons in the military fiddle and thread pattern, by the major Chinese silversmith Linchong (or Lin Chong, Lynchong), working in Canton circa 1810-30 and perhaps a little later. Offered is a rare example of the work of unascribed Canton maker "CC", working there circa 1825-30 or slightly later. This piece measures about 5 3/8 inches in length and weighs about 20 grams. It is engraved with an armorial of an oak tree with a fish dangling - very similar to the Glasgow city arms. Condition overall is fair to good, with some moderate surface and tip wear but no splits or repairs. All in all a very good example of a scarce mark in Chinese Export silver!

A substantial piece, this gravy ladle measures 6 1/2" long, has a gold washed, oval bowl that is 2 1/4" by 1 3/4" by 3/4" deep. It weighs 1.9 T. oz.

The fiddle shaped handle has beveled edges, a tipt backside, and curves downward. It has a feathered script "MTP" monogram on the front. There is an exposed drop where the handle joins the bowl.

Offered is a fine and scarce early 19th Century Chinese export silver gravy or sauce ladle in the fiddlethread and shell pattern, made for the American market circa 1810-45. This piece measures about 6 inches in length and is heavy at 68 grams, typical for Chinese export silver. There is no monogram or obvious sign of erasure.
