length 9 1/8 inches, weight 4.75 Troy ounces, no monogram, excellent condition.

Alas, this item is not terribly old. In an attempt to recapture some of their former glory, Towle remanufactured many pieces of Georgian in the mid 1980's. So though it's entirely legit, we can't represent this as antique. However, as with Gorham's later (also 1980's) production of historic patterns, the utmost care has been taken and no apologies need be made for the quality of this server.

"Lily," which is actually a "lily of the valley" presented on an "Antique" form handle, was a popular motif offered by numerous manufacturers, none more successfully so than Whiting, the manufacturer of this 8 3/4" long, 2.6 T. oz., berry or large serving spoon.... Click for details
