2500 $550.00
craftsman Herman Glendenning, height 5 1/2 inches, total Troy weight 13.25 ounces, no monogram, some minor dents in base as shown in third and fourth enlargements but very good overall condition.
These have probably "been to the wheel" sometime during their career, and it pains me to see Mr. Stone's work treated in such a manner. We must asume that our readers will agree, or else they'd be looking at Replacements, not here. That said, this is a rare form from his workshop, and also... Click for details

Bruce Cherner Antique Silver
2473 Sold
In 1894, Nellie Sontag would have been a household name. With her brother Sir Mohawk, she was half of the famed trotter team which held the fastest time for their age class. The horses were immortalized in a print by Currier & Ives of John Cameron's painting, which we show here in our fourth enlargement. In May of 1886, when challenged to defend his horses' record, then owner Richard Fox said in essence 'go ahead, make my day,' and his retort made page one of the New York Times (see fifth... Danvers, MA circa 1930, height 3 1/4; top diameter 2 5/8 inches, weight 5.75 Troy ounces, no monogram, some very light scratches but excellent overall condition.
Though his work is ardently sought by collectors, Porter's output was not always of consistent quality. His soldering was occasionally sloppy, and his hammer marks were at times random.
