Made in London in 1802-03 during the reign of George III, this pair of tongs measure 5 5/8" long and weigh just over 1.0 T. oz.

They are fully marked on the arms for London, 1802-03, sterling, and the family partnership of Peter (son of Hester), Ann (sister-in-law of Peter), and William (nephew of Peter) Bateman, represented as "PB/AB/WB."

It has cup grips, shaped arms, and a slightly concave arch that is engraved with a feathered script "CH" monogram.

Offered is one of the most eye-catching and unusual English sterling silver fish slices I've ever seen, let alone come across. Please carefully review all the pictures. This piece is fully hallmarked for London, 1843, and appears to bear a maker's mark used by specialist maker John James Whiting. Marked with a lion, anchor, G, "Sterling," and "Pat. 97," this pair of sugar tongs are an early example of Gorham's "Strasbourg."

They are a large version, measuring 4 3/4" long and weighing just over 1.1 T. oz.

They are also in mint condition, have elaborate grips, and are without a monogram or removal. The design detail is free of any signs of wear, the arch remains well-shaped, and the finish has a natural, brilliant finish.

One of two floral patterns produced by Reed & Barton that became standard bearers for the company as well as early 20th century, Art Nouveau silver design in general, "Les Six Fleurs" is exuberantly expressive. Indeed, it virtually defines the concept of "liquid silver."

A 5" long, heavy at just over 1.5 T. oz., item, this spoon is marked "Sterling," "L," and with the model number "60."

The 2 1/8" by 1 5/8", pear shaped bowl is a size typical of a tea caddy spoon, while the 3" long, solid silver, tubular handle is somewhat lengthy for that.

It is fashioned in an Arts & Crafts manner, with a cast, perhaps lotus bud form, finial at the end of the handle, and a block letter "J.J.D" monogram engraved on the heel reverse of the bowl.

Offered is a nice George III English sterling silver fish server fully hallmarked for London, 1802 and made by a maker using the mark SI or IS. This piece has a nice period engraved armorial of a rooster and clear, well-struck marks. It measures just a little under 12 inches in length and weighs about 128 grams. Condition is fair, as it has some surface wear from a lot of polishing (though not a machine buffing, at least in the recent past), probably from someone using a little to much elbow... Hallmarked for the London firm of C.S. Harris & Sons Ltd, 1893-94, described in "Jackson's Hallmarks" as a "maker of . . . usually very fine copies of earlier pieces," this solid sterling silver trophy is indeed Georgian in inspiration, with scrolled arms and a banded body.

A lofty item, this sugar caster, aka muffineer, stands 8" tall on a footed base that is 2 1/2" in diameter. Its substantial 6.8 T. oz. weight is commensurate with its size.

English "Georgian" in style, it has a bulbous body with a tall, fitted sleeve, tiered lid surmounted by an urn shaped finial.

The lid has a series of swirled, patterned piercings offset by fine engraved bands.

A late 18th century item, these sterling sugar nips are stamped on each finger holder with a lion and "RM" for Robert Makepeace II whose mark was entered into the London registry in 1795 (Grimwade).

Noted as a good maker in "Jackson's Hallmarks," his capacities show in this item measuring 5" long and weighing 1.3 T. oz.

One of the numerous partnerships that prominent silversmith William Gale of New York City entered into, "Gale & Willis" spanned the years 1859-62.

This example of his work is a 7 3/8" long, weighty at 2.0 T. oz., gravy ladle.

It has a twisted handle and broad, shaped, flat handle that is bright cut engraved with an engine turned background.

There is a shield reserve with an Old English "CPK" or "CPR" monogram inscribed on it.
