April, 1954, Tupperware Rose pattern,wa introduced. The first and only pattern from Tupperware. Wm Rogers Mfg. Co. A1 plus Original Rogers (with two hallmarks "I" and "S".) This is a silver plate spoon, and in good used condition. The front of the bowl has a tiny dark speck but this may come off with polish. The back is stamped as mentioned above description. Measures 6" long.

Readers of our little web page know that there's not much coin silver flatware here-- that is, pieces made between 1825 and 1868 in the good old U.S. of A. Why? Because most of it was thin, mass produced, and of inferior quality. Indeed, the majority of what we now see was made in New York, Boston or Philly and simply stamped with local marks.

Vintage master butter spreader or butter knife circa 1940. Wm Rogers IS Silver plate Desire flatware pattern. A nice piece to use at your table or a replacement piece to increase the service size of your existing set. Measures 6 7/8" in length. In VERY GOOD pre-owned condition with no dings or bends; normal usage marks and slight wear due to age. Has been gently polished with cream and is ready to use.
