Gorham Seminole Sofkee spoon
Silver : Souvenir Spoons
Bruce Cherner Antique Silver
1968 $45.00
Most every culture has a version of, well, corn meal mush. In Italy, it's polenta. Among the Native American tribes of Florida, sofkee would be the name, and this spoon designed by Greenleaf and Crosby circa 1900 is supposedly a scale model of such a porridge-making utensil. Length 5 3/8 inches, no monogram, excellent condition, weight .79 oz Troy.

Towle #27 TWIST salad fork
Silver : Sterling : Flatware
Bruce Cherner Antique Silver
1962 $40.00
Should you have the good fortune to be reading our web page sequentially, here are two twisted bits of silver in honor of April Fool's Day. These were made in different fashions by individual craftsmen operating a machine which could rotate their working stock in alternating directions, causing a "trompe l'oeil" effect. Length 5 7/8 inches, weight .70 oz. Troy, no monogram, some knife cuts on reverse of tines but otherwise in fine condition. Place pieces in this pattern are scarce.

Silver : Plate
Sherrys Antiques* Collectibles* Frivolous Necessities
safn-9763 $24.00
Wonderful old vintage silver plated 1902 Cereta large serving spoon by Oneida. This flatware pattern was distributed in 1902 by Quaker Oats and Pettijohns Breakfast foods as a promotional item you could get with their saver coupons. Spoon measures 7 7/8" long, and has no wear. Just beautiful!! I will be listing a few more of the pieces from this set. VERY hard to find pieces to this pattern. The plate on these were better and heavier than their triple plated pieces.

Gorham MEDALLION salad serving fork
Silver : Sterling : Flatware
Bruce Cherner Antique Silver
1928 Sold
Several years ago when Gorham was still in the Providence area and owned by Brown Forman, they decided to reissue some popular early patterns. We bought this piece "new and in the bag," though not directly from the factory. It has seen no use since then (1995 or so) and is in pristine condition. Length 9 inches, 3.06 oz. Troy, mark "Gorham Sterling." It is well worth a quick look at our third enlargement to see what a piece of Medallion flatware looks like, when freshly struck...
