Interesting double-swell fiddle handles, unusual for midwest and southern silver; pointed shoulders, feathered script mono I S B on front; 5-7/8" in length. Excellent condition. Boultinghouse lists William and Archibald Cooper as forming their partnership in 1836 in Cincinnati, probably moving across the river to Louisville the next year. The mark on these spoons is terrific (see pic), not shown in Boultinghouse.

length 4 1/8 inches, upturned handle with front midrib and squared shoulders, as is so often the case with youth items the tines are a bit askew but otherwise in good condition, no monogram, unmarked.

The wreath pattern came into existence in Philadelphia about the same time as the sheaf-of-wheat and basket-of-flowers patterns. It never caught on outside Philly. Each of these 5 is in near-mint condition, the wreath crisp, the bowl tips unworn. The mono is L H F in feathered script. They have pointed shoulders and there is a drop on the bowl back. Length is 6".

Probably made in the year of its patent - 1871. The set consists of 12 dinner forks, 12 luncheon forks, 12 tablespoons, 12 dessert spoons and 12 teaspoons -- a total of 60 pieces with a weight of 77 T oz. NOTE: As often occurs with antique sets of silver, there are no knives. Replacement knives are usually modern, often pistol-handled.

This is not a new piece, but not old enough to be considered vintage. It was manufactured by Godinger. It measures approximately 4 1/2 in width x 2 3/4 inches in height. The maroon velveteen interior has no damage and in a clean condition. It has been displayed for several years and never polished. There are a few areas of darkening of the silver. The lid is hinged and fits very snugly. Some parts of the box is showing a brassy sheen, but it is an illusion. I need your zip code to calculate... Click for details

Bright cut, drops, oval end. Length 5-3/8". Lengthwise script monogram AEM. Overall and mark condition are excellent. Full name mark BAYLEY plus pseudohallmark of a bird. Bayley died in 1799.
