Six old Wm Rogers International Silver butter spreaders or butter knives in the Facination pattern from 1936. Silver plated and measures 6 1/8" long. Marked on the back with an "eagle Hallmark", Wm Rogers, I S, in blocks, "Star hallmark" and a diamond mark further up on the handle. All are marked the same. These are in average used condition, and not pristine, but still nice to use or complete your set or add to it. No plate wear. Naturaly could use a good polishing. We have a partial set I... Most every culture has a version of, well, corn meal mush. In Italy, it's polenta. Among the Native American tribes of Florida, sofkee would be the name, and this spoon designed by Greenleaf and Crosby circa 1900 is supposedly a scale model of such a porridge-making utensil.
