Marked PITMAN in serrated rectangle, one of the marks used by Saunders Pitman of Providence. Yet Saunders died in 1804 - he couldn't have made this spoon. Then who? His son, John K. Pitman, who was trained by his dad, worked with his pop, and simply continued to use the "family punch." Son Pitman is listed in the Flynt & Fales tome on New England silversmiths, but no mark is attributed to him. This is it! Plus, probably, all the other marks attributed to Saunders. length 7 5/8 inches, monogrammed "F.E. Dean", maker J.B. & Co (possibly Jones Ball & Co, Boston circa 1850). Most of the handles have the usual pinprick dents which one might expect in knives from this period; two have some larger dings which we've shown in photo number five. The blades are in fine condition.

One with 2 bells, one marked Tiffany&Co. and sterling, the other just marked sterling. The other teething ring has one bell, marked sterling. The rings are mother-of-pearl. The diameter of one ring is 2-1/8", the other 1-11/16". No monogram. Overall and mark condition are excellent.

Vintage hand crafted Sterling Pendant. It is marked "Sterling" and I have tried to research it for more information but did not find out any more about it. Previous owner has had it in her possession for over 35 years. Purchased originally in a Long Island store. It reminds me of early Mexican silversmiths work especially the Sun design with the rays. length 13 1/2 inches, weight 5 oz Troy, no monogram. Concerning condition, the handle is ever so slightly off vertical and there are some very minor dents in bowl (please see fourth photo). Both of these issues are difficult for my eye to detect, so I do not feel that they need to be addressed. Offering this heavy sterling change purse from the 1930's or earlier. It has a mirror on one side that can be opened exposing a money clip behind. On the other side it has 2 coin holders for a 5 cent and 10 cent piece. And under that section another compartment for either change or whatever and marked on the inside "W Sterling 712". This is a vintage brooch/pin that circa approx. 1940's. During WW2 this is the type of jewelry that was created as the war effort needed the metal and sterling was easily available. The design is a flower with four pedals and a large center turquoise prong set rhinestone as the flower center. . Marked in the back "Sterling" it measures approx. 2" x 2.25". Condition is excellent.
