Coin silver dessert spoon in the "Tuscan" pattern, probably made by William Gale of NYC. 6 and 11/16 inches long. Sold in Philadelphia by Bailey & Co. Marked Bailey & Co. incuse and "PATENT 1846" incuse in rectangle. Engraved "EO" in script.In great condition with only the slightest wear on the left side of the tip, which is barely noticeable.

Shell end sugar tongs by John Polhamus while he worked with Henry Hebbard in NYC, 1852-1858. Six and 1/4 inches long. Marked "J. POLHAMUS" incuse and "H" in oval, 5 pointed star in oval, and anchor in diamond on the interior of the handles. Engraved "JCL" on the end. One of the handles has an old, well done, repair, thus the reduced price. Polhamus was a well-known silversmith and designer, who held several patents, and supplied Tiffany & Co. He also had his own jewelry business.

Coin silver sugar shell in a variant of the Bead pattern by Wood & Hughes, NYC, ca. 1845-99, probably 1850-1870,as the mark of "W & H" in a rectangle was used before 1871. Also marked with a rubbed mark that ends "...ITTENHEIMER". Engraved "Libbie" in cursive on the front. Slight dent in the beading on the right side just above the "L" in "Libbie." Otherwise in "like new" condition. A veryu nice sugar shell. Could also be used as a preserve spoon.

Shaped and pierced blade has engraved fish surrounded by engraved foliate design. Flat handle - a bead pattern. Length 12". Weight 4.4 troy ounces. The monogram on the back of the handle is a script E.W.S to G.&R.B. Overall condition is excellent. Mark condition is good-.

Pull-off pierced lid with finial. Applied molded ring base. Height 6-3/4". Diameter of base 2-13/16"; of body 2". Weight 6-1/2 troy ounces. The monogram on the side is HALDOTE - PA/CHRISTMAS 1913 (Haldote a first name?). Mark and overall condition are excellent (small base dent, some fire scale).

Large coin silver sugar tongs, 6 and 5/16 inches long, by Samuel L. Brown of New York, NY, ca. 1820-50. Marked "S. BROWN" in a serrated rectangle on the interior of both handles. Engraved "HCH" in copperplate script on the exterior end and "S.R.H." in modern block letters on the interior end. A nice pair of tongs, large enough to use for ice cubes today.

Sterling covered salt with tray and spoon by the Webster Co. of N. Attleboro. All three of the sterling pieces, spoon, tray and cover have the Webster logo. The crystal glass salt holder has a beautiful etched design of leaves and grapes or berries. Circa early 1900's. Tray measures 3.5 inches across and the overall height of glass salt holder is 2.75 inches. Condition is excellent. See all the many other great listings I have for your consideration.
