Coin silver dessert fork in the fiddle thread pattern, 6 3/4 inches long. Tines worn. Engrave "FJK" on reverse in copperplate script. Marked "E.A.TYLER.NEW ORLEANS" in rectangle. Tyler was in business in New Orleans, Louisiana from 1838 to 1879. This fork is probably from the 1845 to 1861 period.

Coin silver teaspoon marked "S WILMOT" in rectangle. Fiddle thread pattern. This is either the mark of Samuel Wilmot of New Haven, CT, Georgetown, SC (1824-37) and Charleston, SC (1838-41) or of Samuel Wimot of Savannah, GA c. 1850-56. It could be either. It looks very mcuh like the mark attributed by Belden to the Charleston Wilmot. Probably made in NYC and sold in SC or GA. Coin silver serving spoon by John Adam of Alexandria, Virginia, ca. 1801-1846. Nine inches long. Fiddle handle is ribbed on reverse. Engraved "GSH" in copperplate script. Marked "I [bullet] ADAM." in rectangle. Broad drop. Handle appears to have been slightly bent where fiddle meets stem, but you have to look closely to see this minor defect. Only the slightest bowl wear on the left. In very good condition.

Three piece tea set by Jones, Ball & Poor of Boston, ca. 1846-52. Cast finials in the form of a flower. Very nice form. The base of the tea pot and creamer have old repairs, probably with lead, that have been covered with silver plate. These do show upon close inspection, but are not immediately noticeable. The set otherwise is in excellent condition. No engraving.

Sterling silver sugar bowl with lid and creamer by Schofield Co. of Baltimore, MD. In the Neo-Classic style. Sugar Bowl is about 7 and 1/8 inches high to top of the finial and 6 and 3/4 inches wide from handle to handle. Creamer is about 6 1/4 inches to top of handle. Engraving is hard to decipher but appears to be "HAC." In excellent condition. Schofield Co. was founded in 1903 as the Baltimore Silversmiths Mfg. Magnificent solid silver punch bowl with Asian chop marks. It holds 7 1/2 quarts to the brim. Eleven inches in diameter, 5 and 11/16 inches high. Repouse decoration around entire bowl and on the bottom. I thought this was Chinese because the chop marks appear to be such. Sotheby's told me it appeared to be made for the European market.
