Downturned handles with pointed ends, roulettework incised V drops. Also roulettework engraving on the handles. The length of one spoon is 5-1/2", the other 5-3/16" (the difference is in the length of the bowls as well as the handles). One spoon has the block monogram SB, the other SP. Overall condition of both spoons is excellent. Mark condition of one spoon is excellent, the other good. The "I" in the mark is most likely to be for someone with a first name starting with J. Bright cut, pointed ends, incised V roulettework drop, not tipt. Not a pair - one bowl wider than the other, bright-cutting different, length different; but undoubtedly both were made and engraved by the same person. One has a block monogram EB, the other AWB. Not by a big city silversmith. Likely that the "I" in the mark is for a makwer with first name beginning with J. Length of 1 is 5-3/8"; the other 5-1/4".Overall condition is good-(one bowl may have been repaired and has light toothmarks).... Click for details

Marked I.W.TUCKER/SANFRANCISCO.CAL, name and location each in a rectangle. Octagonal, double-scroll handle, engine-turned design with large reserve on the front. Applied molded rim top and base. Height of handle 3-13/16"; of body 3-1/4". Diameter of mouth 2-5/8"; of base 2-7/8". Weight 4-1/4 troy ounces. There is a script monogram M.C. on the front in a reserve. Mark condition is good; overall condition is also good (many minor dents in body).
