shell bowl preserve spoon, P.B. Sadtler & Son
Silver: Coin Silver: Flatware
Bruce Cherner Antique Silver
0736 $75.00
A decent piece of Baltimore engraved coin silver, 9 1/8 inches long, good condition, monogrammed "Clintonia" (please see second photo). As to what this might comprise (cigars? a large kneehole desk?) one can only speculate, but Yours Truly will exercise restraint before he gets himself into trouble, though more astute readers tell me that in actual fact it's simply a flower...

antique sterling silver dominoes, boxed set
Silver: Sterling: Smalls
Bruce Cherner Antique Silver
0644 1250.00
Bored and in need of a new game? How about one that doesn't require a computer or, for that matter, electricity? Measuring 4 3/8 by 1 1/8 by 1 3/8 inches, this set will fit easily into your purse or briefcase, but at 31 oz. Troy (that's two pounds, two ounces in lay terms) it may weigh you down a bit. The case has some minor dents, as one might expect, from its occupants which are small and dense. There is also a spot on the "M" where the engraver bore down too hard and went through the cover... Southern coin silver teaspoon, Stephen Baker, Wilmington & NY
Silver: Coin Silver: Southern
Past Pleasures Antiques
7623 $95.00
This is a small early teaspoon in decent condition. It's lack of shoulders and handle form indicate early 19th century, 1800/1810. It has some minor dings in the bowl, but no bowl wear. It has a miniscule crack (less than 1/64") where the bowl & handle meet. It is marked S. Baker, NY and Wilmington, NC. The book " Silversmiths of North Carolina" states that it is unknown when Baker came to Wilmington. These early, possibly Southern spoons are hard to find.
