Silver Plated Candle Sticks
Silver: Plate
BlueMoon Ent.
0074 $18.00
A pair of vintage candlesticks. Their quiet simplicity provides enchantment to even a contemporary romantic dinner for two. Rogers Sterling Silver Candelabras SOLD
Silver: Plate
BlueMoon Ent.
0073 SOLD $115.00 SOLD
A pair of interchangeable candelabra, "break a part", candle holders. There are some loose particles that rattle when turned over. The candleholders
measure 5 ... Click for details

Birdback serving spoon by James Black, Phila.
Silver: Coin Silver: Flatware: 18th Century
North Hill Antiques
108C $350
Oval-end handle, c1800 -- feathered script mono T H C on front; 8-1/2" long. This spoon is also marked IWG for John Ward Gethen, also of Philly, which presents a bit of a puzzle. Both Black and Gethen were silversmiths, the first starting his career in 1795, the latter in 1811. It could be that Gethen added the piece to his inventory and sold it out of his shop. The spoon is in excellent condition, the extended bowl tip unworn. The bird is lightly struck, but all of its parts seem to be in... Click for details

Fine set of three Georgian wine labels or tickets -- for madeira, port and claret -- by the renowned maker John Reily. They are cast and have a griffin crest. The definitive book, “Wine Labels,” edited and co-authored by John Salter says (p. 154) that Reily was one of five silversmiths in the generation that came to prominence around 1820 who “are particularly worthy of mention for the quality of their product and their contribution to original design.” The book also cites the particular design...
