Height 2-1/2". Weight 5 troy ounces. No monogram, but a round reserve for one. Overall and mark condition are excellent (bowl is just slightly out of round).

Let's stop right there. I don't for a moment believe that this item was made in Boston. Most everything about it: the floral four toed feet, chased foliage with "ring matted" background (see Forbes, plate 41), silversmith's center punch on the top (see fourth photo), the overall heft and construction suggest that it was made in Canton province. The overall condition is excellent (one very minor dent).

Kheechong, Canton circa 1825, length 13 1/2 inches, monogrammed "DR". Heavy and in excellent condition, with the classic "inset v" construction on both shells (front & back), bold shell drop (please see third photo). There is but one caveat here: someone has substantially removed the mark (ideogram - K.H.C. - monarch), so that it is only barely visible.
