Coin silver sugar shell in a variant of the Bead pattern by Wood & Hughes, NYC, ca. 1845-99, probably 1850-1870,as the mark of "W & H" in a rectangle was used before 1871. Also marked with a rubbed mark that ends "...ITTENHEIMER". Engraved "Libbie" in cursive on the front. Slight dent in the beading on the right side just above the "L" in "Libbie." Otherwise in "like new" condition. A veryu nice sugar shell. Could also be used as a preserve spoon.

These six, sterling silver teaspoons are slightly over-sized at 6 1/8" long. The four together weigh 4.0 T. oz. They all match, and have the same script "M.E. Rouse." engraving, and are stamped "S.S. Newton." In his book on pseudo hallmarks, John McGrew identifies Newton as a mid 19th century, Winchester (Winstead), Connecticut retailer. Large coin silver sugar tongs, 6 and 5/16 inches long, by Samuel L. Brown of New York, NY, ca. 1820-50. Marked "S. BROWN" in a serrated rectangle on the interior of both handles. Engraved "HCH" in copperplate script on the exterior end and "S.R.H." in modern block letters on the interior end. A nice pair of tongs, large enough to use for ice cubes today.

William Jones died in 1730, so this spoon has to be among the earliest Hanoverians made in the Colonies. It has a prominent front rib and a long tapering rattail (see pic). It is marked W barred I on both the handle and in the bowl (see pix of both marks). The mono is a shaded block B over W S on reverse. Each of these 12 circa 1850 matched dinner forks is 7 3/4" long. The groups weigh a hefty 19.3 T. oz. They are stamped "Coin" and "H.L. Webster & Co." for the Providence, Rhode Island firm of that name. Webster was in partnership with Gorham for a short period prior to 1850. A beautiful sterling coffee pot in pristine condition. The body is fully chased with floral and scroll decoration leaving a cartouche on each side in which are engraved a crest and a coat of arms, with the motto "PRO UTILITATE". The handle is original and the cast silver spout has a crowned mask at its base. Hallmarks are clear, as pictured, with additional hallmarks in the cover. Made by Charles Marsh of Dublin, Ireland in 1821.
Dimensions: Height 10.5", base diameter 4.5". Weight 28 Troy oz.

A very good pair of sterling George III candlesticks made in Sheffield by Samuel Kirkby & Co in 1804. Attractive fluted decoration between the circular bases and the cylindrical columns. What is nice about these candlesticks are the clear hallmarks on the bases and on the bobeches. Very good condition.

A rare and early example of Exeter silver - Pentecost Symonds, Exeter, ca. 1720. Hanoverian handle, rattail-back bowl. Measures a little over 13". Some of the marks worn but maker's mark and lion mark clear. Condition is good, but original monogram removed and gussied-up later mono added. Shipping and insurance $8.00.
