This is a very wonderful large hotel silver platter by the International Silver Co. It has no hotel name on it which is sad, it is however marked by the maker with a 80 in a square, which I think means it was from the 1980's. It has some surface scratches, which is normal, but there is no corrosion at all. The piece definately speaks for itself. This is a very extravagant piece of silver. I believe it to be coin silver due to the fact that it is marked 90 on the back, along with the letters GES. This piece is from the late 1800's to early 1900's and measures 12 in. long. This ladle is in wonderful condition for it age, having only minor dings and scratches that don't take away from the beauty of the piece. A wonderful piece of Southern coin. It is an all-silver 6-lobed construction on a circular silver base. It is monogramed though I cannot decipher the other letters behind the M. A slight ding on the base is the only flaw. Measures 5.375" in diameter and 3" at its highest point. Weighs 10 Troy oz.

This "fiddlethread" tablespoon is 8 1/2" and is not in great condition. There are some bowl dents and a bowl bend and slight bowl wear. However, it would work very well with red beans and rice. It is marked "A.B. Griswold" and with another tiny mark that I can't make out. It's a usuable piece of silver.

The monogram on the top of the blade is an Old English EP in an elliptical reserve. This is for Elizabeth Parsons who married Dr. George Derby in Cambridge, MA in 1864.
