From the same collection as Item SD15a comes this coin cream ladle by George Sharp, marked with an "S" surrounded by four lions. The shank is additionally marked "Patent 1863 G.S." The plain cylindrical bowl with beaded rim is also adorned with a similar female head cameo, attached to a sectional shank ending in a ball terminal. Very good condition, just a minute ding to the ball terminal.
Dimensions: 7.375" long.

A wonderful coin ladle of intermediate size by George Sharp, marked with an "S" flanked by two lions. The vermeil bowl is helmet-shaped adorned with a cameo of a female head. A 3-pronged attachment connects the bowl to a spiral shank ending in a terminal in the form of a female bust. In excellent condition. No splits, dents or repairs. Vermeil to the bowl showing only minimal erosion at the high points. 3-letter monogram to bowl as pictured.

A good coin asparagus tongs by Ball, Tompkins & Black of New York, NY working 1839-51. It is in exceptionally good condition with 'fiddle & thread' handles and pierced densely engraved blades. No dents, splits or repairs. Monogram on the back as pictured.

This is a very attractive set, of fish knife and fork, by Hyde & Goodrich, New Orleans c.1850. The knife has a pierced blade profusely engraved with scrolls and floral decoration around a vignette of an island scene. The fork blade too is similarly densely engraved on both sides. The handle of each is double-struck with a reeded decoration ending in an upturned oval terminal. The original monogram has been expertly removed before the existing one was engraved. Here is a fine example of Southern/Virginia coin silver. A massive and impressive mug by William A Williams who, although born in Washington DC, was a reputable silversmith in Alexandria from 1809 to 1846. Plain baluster body with a hollow scroll handle. Maker's mark struck twice on the underside of the base round which is the inscription 'Presented to Doct. T.J.Boyd by his friend Com. J.Rodgers'.
Measures 6.25" high by 4.5" in diameter. Weighs 18 T.oz
