Downturned handles with pointed ends, roulettework incised V drops. Also roulettework engraving on the handles. The length of one spoon is 5-1/2", the other 5-3/16" (the difference is in the length of the bowls as well as the handles). One spoon has the block monogram SB, the other SP. Overall condition of both spoons is excellent. Mark condition of one spoon is excellent, the other good. The "I" in the mark is most likely to be for someone with a first name starting with J. Not a pair - one bowl wider than the other, bright-cutting different, length different; but undoubtedly both were made and engraved by the same person. One has a block monogram EB, the other AWB. Not by a big city silversmith. Likely that the "I" in the mark is for a makwer with first name beginning with J. Height of handle 3-13/16"; of body 3-1/4". Diameter of mouth 2-5/8"; of base 2-7/8". Weight 4-1/4 troy ounces. There is a script monogram M.C. on the front in a reserve. Mark condition is good; overall condition is also good (many minor dents in body).

Oval-end handles, c1790 -- drop on bowl backs, short reverse rib, 5-5/8" long. This is a mixed lot. The best is the engraving -- feathered script mono A P within a wreath cartouche topped by a ribbon. Two of the bowls have cracks and one has an old bowl repair. The mark is WA, the best of which is shown; most of the others are poorly struck. We believe WA is the mark of William Andras of NYC. Price includes U.S. delivery.
