Coin Silver Gravy Boat, c.1825
Silver: Coin Silver: Hollowware
Albion Antiques Ltd
SGN26 $1250
A fine coin silver gravy boat of good form on three shell-topped hoof feet, beaded rim and leaf-capped scroll handle. It looks earlier than I have dated it but the closest I have come to identifying the maker's mark, S.W & Co, is a reference in Belden to Samuel White of NY, NY, whose mark is S.W, being in a partnership forming a company S.White & Co between 1820-25. Kovel's lists S.White &Co as NY, NY. C.1830, without a maker's mark for the company either.
In wonderful condition, nice patina, n... Click for details

Victorian Christofle silver barley twist spoon
Silver: Coin Silver: 18th and Early 19th Century
Sweets to the Sweet @ Le' Chateau Woods
00033 $185.00
This exquisite piece of flatware was made in the 1800's during the victorian era. The maker was Christofle a company stationed in Paris, France, so it has a parisian flair to it. In the bowl is marked the stamp with two c's on either side of a scale. There is another stamp that I cannot make out. This spoon is 11 in. long and boast a lovely barley twist handle topped by a sort of pineapple top. This piece certainly speaks volumes. There is only one flaw to one of the points at the top of the spo... Click for details

Victorian Russian sterling silver sugar scoop
Silver: Sterling: Smalls
Sweets to the Sweet @ Le' Chateau Woods
00004 Sold...Thanks
WOW! What can't I say about this piece. I had to literally twist my arm to put this one up for sale. It is the most unusual serving piece I have ever seen. I thought it might be from the aesthetic movement, but another dealer thought that it might be art nouveau because of the use of nature in the design, whatever the case, it is absolute victorian gorgeousness! It is dated within a circle on the bowl 1890 along with a mark that I could not make out followed by AA. Next to that is stamped AB in ... Click for details

Frederic Marquand coin silver mustard ladle, Kings

It is marked "FM" (although the picture looks like "PM") with no makers marks. It is single struck Kings pattern which was popular during Marquands Savannah period. The condition is good and it is 5". I'm going to let you decide where it was sold. Ca 1825.
