Unmarked but American maker could perhaps be identified from bright cutting, shell, and drop. Beautiful spoons. Downturned handles with squared drops. Length 9". Weight 1 oz. 17 dwt. each. All three are monogrammed E+W, one with R beneath and one with M beneath. Overall condition is excellent.

"Almost Perfect" describes these 7 1/2" coin silver dinner forks. There are no dents or bends and the tines are like new. The pattern is crisp. These are made by Gorham in their "Beaded" pattern. They are only marked with the patent date (1861) and "Coin". Ca 1861, these are about as good as a 150 year old fork can be.

Samuel Kirk & Sons, 1861-68, reached back to the 17th century for inspiration in designing these demitasse pieces. The tefid-end spoon ended by 1710 or so. Here it is reborn, however briefly, with the added design elements of full-blown embossing, front and back, including the bowl (see pic). These spoons are 4" in length and all are in mint condition. The mono is an old English H set in a shield cartouche. Mark (see pic) is S. Kirk & Sons 10.15.

Length 8 3/8 inches, monogrammed "M" (reverse, period script, see third photo) most have some tine wear and the color is a bit off but the pattern is in very good condition and my word are these rare!!! Our only American assay office was located in the city of Baltimore, circa 1814-30, so here is your chance to own a small but significant bit of Americana which can truly be said to bear hallmar...
