Six teaspoons by Isaac Hutton; Albany, NY; circa 1790's
Silver: Coin Silver: Flatware: 18th Century
Gebelein
991 $550 for 6; $200 for 2
Downturned handle, oval end, tipt on back, oval incised drop. Length 5-5/8". Weight of 6 is 2.8 troy ounces. The monogram on the top of the handle is a block C/WG in a reserve, plus 1765. I don't know the meaning of 1765, but perhaps the year the couple was married; if 25th anniversary, these spoons would have been made in 1790. Overall and mark condition are excellent.
