Unusual 10" Krider, Philadelphia, Coin Olive Tongs
Silver: Coin Silver: Serving Pieces
Old Friends
094A $ 195
This pair of coin silver tongs are quite remarkable, in that they are 10" long. This form was recently described in a "Silver Magazine" article, and described as olive tongs. They were made by Philadelphia's Peter L. Krider, and show all the quality associated with that fine maker. The style suggests Philadelphia in at least two regards. First is the intricate period engraving that is characteristic of mid 19th century style from that city. Secondly is the twist element on the arms. The ta... Click for details

International Silver Co. Hotel Silver Serving Platter
Silver: Coin Silver: Serving Pieces
Sweets to the Sweet @ Le' Chateau Woods
00421 $125.00
This is a very wonderful large hotel silver platter by the International Silver Co. It has no hotel name on it which is sad, it is however marked by the maker with a 80 in a square, which I think means it was from the 1980's. It has some surface scratches, which is normal, but there is no corrosion at all. The piece definately speaks for itself. It has a boldness about it, and will add nice character to your collection. ~Enjoy!
