Double-swell fiddle handle with large flared shoulders, marked by N. J. Gilman of Portland, Maine, c1850-60. Presentation on front of handle: Mr. & Mrs. John Brackett / to / Mr. & Mrs. H. M. Brackett. The ladle is 13-1/2" long with a 4-1/4" oval bowl and weighs an imposing 8-1/2" Troy oz. Overall condition is excellent.

Coin silver sugar tongs, Hugh Wishart, New York City (c. 1785-1800), 6 1/4" long, plain oval pans, straight sides with ribbon-like bright cutting down center, unusual diamond cut and zigzag oval cartouche with feather script monogram "HCR", very small crack on inside of bend does not go through to other side, marked inside one arm "WISHART" in rectangular punch.

This 13" Silver Plate stuffing spoon (for stuffing chicken or turkey, then serving) is marked Silver Plate, Eales 1779, and Italy; it is in excellent condition except for one small area on the handle where the silver plate is worn (see picture 2), so priced low. The bowl area is about 4" long and over 2.25" wide. Exact age/maker unknown.

2 heavy coin silver serving spoons about 8 1/2 inches long in a modified Kings pattern with scallop shell concave on front and convex on reverse of handle, shell drop. L. Veron & co, Philadelphia, ca. 1828-1841. One is in very good condition, the other has a bowl with a slight deformity and the handle has been slightly bent. Marked "L.VERON. & Co." in rectangle. Engraved "R" in script on the front of the handle. The engraving is faint on the best one and barely visible on the lesser one.
