For sale is an unusual pair of early silver sugar tongs of unknown origin, possibly Old Sheffield Plate. The tongs are 6 inches long and weigh 50 grams. The grips vary, with one shell grip and one claw. The arms are cast, with piercing and decoration. The bend is flat, with nice bright-cut engraving. The tongs have a crest of a winged griffin with one foot on an orb. There are no marks at all. There are a couple of places where there seems to be copper showing through, and they seem stiff... For sale is an exceptional and rare pare of 18th Century Old Sheffield Plate goblets. The goblets are 5 7/8 inches tall, with gadrooned feet and ribbed cups. The pieces have noticeable hammer marks in the interior where they were shaped from a flat sheet and seamed. The goblets are not monogrammed. They both bear a mark of four repeated symbols, attributed to Matthew Fenton & Co, circa 1780. The goblets were part of an important American private collection.... Click for details

These are four beautiful F.B. Rogers Silver Company Silverplate Pattern # F500 Champagne/Sherbet cups. Each cup measures 5 5/8" (14.3cm) tall, with a 4 1/4" (10.8cm) diameter cup, and the cup is 1 1/2" (3.8cm) deep, with a 3 1/8" (7.9cm) diameter base, and each weighs 9.0oz (254gr). The logo is on the bottom of each cup: F.B. Rogers, with SILVERPLATE and below that Italy. They look like they have never been used. Each one is very shiny and clean, with no dings or dents.

The Federal Silver Company's footed water pitcher is 9" (22.9cm) tall to the pour lip, 7 5/8" (19.4cm) from lip to handle, and 18 3/4" (47.6cm) around wide area, and weighs 28.9oz (818gr). It has the Federal Silver Co. E.P.C. logo on the bottom. They were manufacturers of both sterling and silver plated wares from 1920 to 1960; the factory closed in 1961. This set of Van Bergh Cream and Sugar bowls are of a satin finish style popular in the 1890s and the Van Bergh Silver Plate Co. produced quite a bit of it. Beautiful Victorian style Flower Frog made by Wilcox Silverplate Co circa 1940's. It measures 10" across and 6" tall. Wm Rogers Footed Tea Pot. This elegant silver plate tea pot features delightful scroll work along the handle and up the spout, with a scrolled top on the lid and beautifully worked pedestal feet. This pattern seems to be identical to the Exquisite Pattern # 4621 by International Silver except that this piece does not have the scroll work along the rim of the urn, but we believe it is Pattern # 72-3.
