LOVELY ERCUIS 'LAURIERS' - 18 PC. - EUROPEAN EDITION
Silver
Bargentum
$290
Ercuis is a prestigious maker of French silverplate, established in the 1860s. 'Lauriers' is an elegant pattern reminiscent of the French Empire style. A thread outlines the handle, and an oval medallion space is created by acanthus leaves punctuating the top, with delicate branches of laurel/bay leaves and berries closing off that space. The pieces are double-struck, and a beautiful MG monogram is placed in the medallion of the reverse side. This set was surely made for the European mark... Click for details

1847 Rogers Charter Oak s/p Youth Knife
Silver: Plate
Old Friends
808f $ 24
Made in Connecticut by a division of International, Charter Oak takes it name from the design of the piece, and it references the tree that was legendary in that state's history. The interpretation is an an Art Nouveau style, consistent with the early 20th century date of the pattern. It remains a very popular design, and the reason for that is amply evident in such a fine example as this 7 3/8" long youth knife. It is in flawless condition, with no loss of plating, nor nicks or bends. It is i... Click for details

MARTIN HALL APOSTLE BERRY SPOONS
Silver
Bargentum
X2533 $50 for 2; $30 for 1
Typical of Martin Hall (Sheffield), these 2 berry spoons are very well made, with close attention to detail. They are silver plate, 8 in. long, and date from ca. 1875. The bowls are scalloped; the upper – twisted – half of the handles spring from skeletal figures and are topped with plinths supporting St. Peter. The whole is acid-etched, and both bowls and apostles have light gold-washed finishes. There is a small area of light staining on the bowl which may clean, but I have chosen not to d...
