Montana Silverplate Souvenir Spoon by Wm Rogers and Son his dated silverplate collector spoon of Montana is marked: Wm.Rogers & Son AA/Pat.Feb.29,1915. The spoon is worn with age but the design and shape of this spoon is quite unique. A large eagle with wings spread on the top with what looks like rolling hills under it with a crossed pick and shovel and on the back is the shield with stars and stripes with USA above it. This offering is from the renowned German company Wurtemburgische Metallwaren Fabrik founded in 1853 and existed until the 1940's. It was known for their fine quality of silver plate and glass and often referred as the Tiffany of Germany. This Punch Ladle is marked "Alemand C.E.S.A. WMF 90". The condition is excellent. The silver plated knife rest has double thistle ends with leaves for support and measure 1.25 inches high by 4.5 inches long and were made in England 1920-1930s. The thistle is the symbol of Scotland and this would be perfect on a tartan tablecloth set for tea with bannocks and marmalade! This is a fabulous antique English knife rest I brought back from England recently. The silver plated knife rest was made 1890-1910 and measures 1.5 inch high by 4 inches long.
