Vintage Oneida Wilhelm II Silverplate Collectors Spoon
Silver: Plate
Abuzz Antiques and Collectibles
$7.00 plus shipping
This is a wonderful old vintage silverplate spoon by Oneida in their Deutschland collectors series. It features Wilhelm II with a crest on the front and soldiers and flag on the back. It measures 5 and 7/8 inches long. It has a bit of wear to the back of the spoon bowl, and the tip of the spoon bowl is a bit out of shape. This would still make a great piece for a vintage spoon collector.

This 6 1/8" long, relatively light weight, sterling silver souvenir spoon is unusual on at least two counts. First, it was made by "Wm. Rogers Mfg. Co." (with a star emblem and the word Sterling) of Hartford, Connecticut. This was one of myriad companies that carried the Rogers name. It was known largely for silver-plate, but this example is sterling. Second, the subject is the "Memorial Arch" in Bushnell Park in Hartford, Connecticut. Given this was dedicated in 1886, and this piece was li... Click for details

Length 5 3/8 inches, no monogram, excellent condition, weight .79 oz Troy.
