Vintage Oneida Wilhelm II Silverplate Collectors Spoon

This is a wonderful old vintage silverplate spoon by Oneida in their Deutschland collectors series. It features Wilhelm II with a crest on the front and soldiers and flag on the back. It measures 5 and 7/8 inches long. It has a bit of wear to the back of the spoon bowl, and the tip of the spoon bowl is a bit out of shape. This would still make a great piece for a vintage spoon collector.

This is a 4.25" vintage souvenir spoon from New Orleans. It has a gas lamp cut into the handle. On the back is the sterling mark and the maker's mark which is illegible with our equipment. It is a horizontal diamond with a design in the middle that could be a shield or staggered letters, we just can't be sure.

Mayer Brothers Idaho Sterling Souvenir Spoon

This 5 1/2" long teaspoon was made by Mayer Brothers of Seattle, Washington and bears that company's mark on the reverse, along with the word "Sterling." It is a souvenir piece for the state of Idaho, and incorporates a remarkable number of landmark images as souvenir spoons are want to do. The state seal, Shoshone Falls, a mining scene, and a banner reading "syringa," for the state flower, are among the features represented. This item is in mint condition.

Hartford, Connecticut Memorial Arch Engraved Spoon

This 6 1/8" long, relatively light weight, sterling silver souvenir spoon is unusual on at least two counts. First, it was made by "Wm. Rogers Mfg. Co." (with a star emblem and the word Sterling) of Hartford, Connecticut. This was one of myriad companies that carried the Rogers name. It was known largely for silver-plate, but this example is sterling. Second, the subject is the "Memorial Arch" in Bushnell Park in Hartford, Connecticut. Given this was dedicated in 1886, and this piece was li... Click for details

Most every culture has a version of, well, corn meal mush. In Italy, it's polenta. Among the Native American tribes of Florida, sofkee would be the name, and this spoon designed by Greenleaf and Crosby circa 1900 is supposedly a scale model of such a porridge-making utensil. Length 5 3/8 inches, no monogram, excellent condition, weight .79 oz Troy.

Welcome!

Here's a very interesting souvenir spoon - I would say one of a kind. This is the Plymouth pattern made by Rogers in 1897. Engraved on the tip of the handle is the word "Freeport", and on the back "Mch 24, 98". I'm assuming it's a souvenir spoon - but it could be almost anything - - someone's last name and a wedding or annive... Click for details
