This brilliant cut glass bowl is 6 1/2" in diameter overall. The glass itself is 5" wide and is bordered by a 3/4" wide sterling silver rim. The glass is unmarked; the silver is stamped "Sterling" and has Wilcox's imprint for sterling. The piece likely dates 1890-1910. The glass is completely clear, and has sharp and well defined cuts. It is in impeccable condition, free of chips or nicks. The silver is likewise unmarred, has a fine surface, and is without a monogram or monogram removal.

There are 46 pieces in this set. There are 11 8 1/4" serving spoons, 11 7 7/8" flat dessert knives, 12 6 5/8" dessert forks, and 12 8" dinner forks. All are heavy (dinner forks and serving spoons weigh over 2 TR OZ each)with a total weight of appx 81 Tr Oz. The condition is exceptional. There are no breaks or repairs and the pattern is crisp. The pattern is "Union" by George Wendt and the retailer is Ball Black & Co. These are also marked "925". Ca 1865/70. NY,NY.

Beautiful preserve spoon in the Medallion pattern by Hotchkiss & Schreuder, Syracuse, NY. CA 1870. They first produced this Medallion pattern in about 1867. This piece is marked "STERLING" so is probably after 1870. In excellent condition with significant gilding remaining on the bowl. The medallion of the young Dionysus is sharp. Marked H & S, STERLING, and M & D ROSENBERG for the unknown retailer. No engraving. 6 and 11/16 inches long.

This is a pair of English hallmarked sterling silver sugar tongs or sugar nips made by F and G, Chester England in 1921. The sugar tongs measure 4.5 inches long, have spoon ends and the raised figure of what is called an apostle on the sides. The sugar tongs are in very good +++ condition with a bit of wear on the features. An elegant way to add the one lump or two of sugar to your cup. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured.
