Good George II sterling marrow scoop of standard form made by Jeff Griffith in London in 1732. This item came from a collection in Down East Maine. Measuring 9 1/8 inches, it is in very good condition with no flaws. The marks are very clear with a bit of rubbing on the crowned leopard.

Nice George III sterling marrow scoop from a collection that came from Down East Maine. Measuring 7 7/8 inches, it is in good condition with no flaws. The marks are difficult to read because they were rolled in the finishing, but the date mark is quite clear and the London punch and lion passant are easily decipherable. The maker’s mark can be seen within the roll, but I cannot figure it out. Someone with better eyes or more familiar with the marks would probably be able to attribute it to a mak... Click for details

This is a set of eight elegant vintage matched sterling silver teaspoons or coffee spoons made in 1920-1930s. Fine and scarce Georgian White Wine decanter ticket or label of kidney shape with strongly engraved block letters. These are hard to find and much sought after becasue so many people not drink white wine. It is marked twice on the back with a script JR punch, possibly that of John Robins of London, a known maker of labels.The double striking indicatesd manufacture before 1790 when a full set of marks was required. Small size (pot capacity 1 pint). Reeded halfway up the sides. Wooden handle on pot, silver handles on sugar and creamer. Wood and silver finial on hinged pot lid. Height of pot 6-3/4"; maximum horizontal dimension 7-7/8". Weight of all three pieces (including wooden handle on pot) 14.5 troy ounces. The monogram on the side of each piece is a script JMcCW (I think). Overall and mark condition are excellent. This is a beautiful small service.
