Pair of sterling servers by Georg Jensen, c.1924/6
Silver: Sterling
Albion Antiques Ltd
SSJ44 $775
According to Janet Drucker's book on Jensen, these servers are designated Pattern #72. They don't appear to have a name which should not do them any discredit as they are very elegant and graceful. They were evidently made for the British market as they both bear the British import marks for the year they were made.
Early, pre-WWII, Jensen articles are becoming scarcer and acquiring an increasing premium on their price.
Dimensions: Length 7", width 1.75" and 2.75".

JC Klinkosch, Vienna, Dramatic Art Deco Sterling Fork
Silver: Sterling: Flatware
Old Friends
122A $ 46
This dinner fork is a dramatic example of early 20th century art deco design, as it evolved in Continental Europe. It stamped "Made in Austria," "Sterling," "Ges. Gesch.," and has a triangle with "JCK 935" in it. Presumably the 935 is the silver standard, which would make it slightly higher than sterling. The mark is that of J.C. Klinkosch, Vienna. The firm executed designs by Otto Wagner and Otto Prutscher in the first quarter of the 20th century. The scale of this is extravagant. It is 8... Click for details

This sterling silver coffee spoon is 5 1/4" long. It bears clear place and date marks for London, 1816, and maker's stamp of SB/IB, for Sarah and John Blake. This sterling silver asparagus fork is in Gorham's 1890 Chippendale pattern. This is a stylized beaded design that is more Chippendale inspired, and innovative, than slavishly imitative.
